Promoting British Values

British Values The DfE has reinforced the need "to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs." As a Catholic school, we follow the example set by Jesus and this is at the heart of all that we do and ensures that British Values are also at the heart of everything we do:

Democracy

The Rule of Law

Individual Liberty

Mutual Respect

An embrace of those of Different Faiths and Beliefs

Please also see our page about The Catholic Schools' Pupil Profile where you will find out how these have been linked to Gospels teachings and how we live them in our everyday lives at school

We are a Silver Award Rights Respecting School'.  This award has been granted to school by UNICEF to recognise that the school has shown good progress towards embedding children’s rights in the school’s policy, practice and ethos. We are looking forward to achieving our GOLD Award
